About The Photographer

Written By The Photographer's Grandson, John March: Age 12

My grandad has asked me to write about how I see him and his job as a photographer, and here is my story...

I think my grandad is a good grandad. He has taught me how to ride a bike, how to swim and about the world. At the age of 3, he had taught me the moles live in the holes, and now I can never forget it, no matter how hard you try.

My grandad is always taking photo. He is always trying to find the best places and the best angles even if were going out on a family walk. He not only takes pictures of the wildlife and the landscape, but also the family. Our family love how good the photo are is and how quickly he does them.

Whenever we go out, we always find amazing new creatures that we've never seen in our lives. He is very patient and can wait hours, maybe even days, just to take 1 photo.

Recently, I was out with my granddad, and we found a adder. So, he helped me photograph it and all my friends were amazed. Not only did he teach me how to take a picture of a snake, but also how to approach and keep safe near a snake. Also, we've visited giant mansions and we send these photos of me in front of the house and we said it was my granddad’s house. My granddad is very funny and can always take a good joke.

Altogether, I think he would be a good teacher to help anyone with photography.
